Identifying and navigating through challenges in day-to-day living is a fundamental component to our clinical philosophy, and part of our strategic program design.

Our Vocational program is not just about financial independency but is a platform to working through the clinical therapeutic goals, established in their treatment plan. Issues arising within the vocational program are processed in both individual and group sessions and becomes part and parcel of the wrap-around program of Onward Living.

Living a full life in recovery is not just about staying away from unhealthy behaviors but about developing the tools to live a productive, meaningful life. Employment is an integral part of building self-autonomy, self-worth and launching a healthy, purpose-driven life.

At Onward Living, we concentrate on facilitating a resident’s ability to work and gain experience to start on a path of financial autonomy as they work on their treatment goals. When one is able to work and obtain that experience that directly correlates to improved self-esteem, emotional well-being, and sense of purpose.

Our residents are provided with vocational training as well as assisted with job placements in local vetted establishments.

Identifying and navigating through challenges in day-to-day living is a fundamental component of our program design.

Our proven therapeutic program involves more than what happens in the walls of the clinical offices but is continued in what occurs in the residence. Accountability for daily house chores, meal prep, cleaning, consistency in employment, and battling isolation through fellowship all become part of our clinical intervention.

When one is able to work productively, manage their money, and manage activities of daily living they can live a life that is completely autonomous which will enable them to feel happy and healthy.

Throughout the program, residents are guided in learning skills for obtaining and maintaining employment, financial responsibility, and consistent daily living, including:
